Programme Description
This is a snappy, humorous, whirlwind tour through the sounds of sixteen different instruments.
Starting with the milk bottle (blown across the top), Bob uses panpipes to demonstrate pitch. We then look at a series of instruments that are blown including the koauau, tin whistle, swanee whistle and flute. The highland bagpipe chanter, Irish bagpipes, harmonica, melodeon and kazoo demonstrate instruments that use reeds to produce their sound (instruments are pulled part to show working parts). The guitar is used as an accompaniment for a new song that the children are taught. Other stringed instruments include the fiddle and harp. After demonstrating two percussion instruments, Bob invites students to identify and pretend to play instruments on a recording.

The performance usually lasts around 50 minutes, set up takes around 10 minutes.
