Pricing Philosophy
It is my philosophy to make these programmes available to all schools, no matter how small, or geographically distant, at the same per student price. Whilst the total fee for each performance may seem high in large schools, this is balanced by lower fees in smaller schools.
Programme Costs
The cost of each programme is $3 per student. No minimum fees apply.
Discounts
Families only pay for a maximum of two children, extra siblings are free of charge. A 50c per student discount applies to low decile schools (1,2 & 3) where students themselves are asked to pay the full admission price. Teachers and adults are free.
Payment Conditions
Payment is to be made by cheque to "Bob Bickerton Celtic Music Limited" at the completion of the performance. Payment must be based on a head count of students in attendance, not on monies collected. A GST tax invoice will be issued to schools on receipt of payment. Please note that as I operate as a limited liability company, no PAYE tax should be deducted from payments.
Guarantee Of Satisfaction
If a majority of teachers present at a performance feel the performance is not satisfactory then upon receipt of a written statement from the principal, a full refund will be given. (Please note that in 20 years of performance in schools this situation has not arisen!)
Programme Suitability
All programmes are suitable for students from new entry to form 2 age, programmes may vary slightly depending on the age group present.
Group Size
Two or more performances may be scheduled for larger schools, depending on the programme and pressure on the tour schedule.
Venue
I always prefer a more intimate venue, however, I can be quite flexible and carry a full sound system for all eventualities. I require power and an adult sized, armless chair. Please seat children on the floor.
Selection Philosophy
Where I have a full schedule, small schools may be asked to merge and large schools may be offered fewer performances. If bookings exceed time available, priority will be given to providing access for the maximum numbers of students.
Booking Procedure
To book a programme, simply fill out the booking form and fax or post it back to me. You will then receive a 'Booking Response' form suggesting a date, time/s and number of performances with a request that you either sign your acceptance or advise me by return if the times are not possible. Alternatives will be offered until a suitable time is negotiated. A reminder fax is forwarded to schools two weeks prior to the performance. Please note that as I normally work to full schedules, it is necessary to design tours that make geographical sense and as such it is necessary to process bookings as a batch. Consequently this may mean a delay of a few weeks before you hear from me. If you require confirmation prior to this, please note this on the booking form. Bookings received after tour schedules have been set will be gladly accepted, but subject to vacancies.
