STAGE ONE provides an exciting performance experience for your students in the Nelson Arts Festival in October 2017.
STAGE ONE consists of a high profile covered stage, constructed on 1903 Square at the top of Trafalgar Street for four days during the Festival.
The provision of professional stage management and sound systems by Bob Bickerton and Brendyn Montgomery will create a supportive environment where students can experience the excitement of public performance in a positive way.
Performances run between 11am and 2pm each weekday, from Tuesday 24th to Friday 27th October 2017.
There are no fees to perform on STAGE ONE, but schools will need to make their own travel arrangements.
31st August – Applications Close

How To Get Involved
First we’d like to know if your school is interested in participating in STAGE ONE. Simply let us know by filling out the form below.
The purpose of this form is to provide us with contact details so that we can work with you to explore performance options.
A broad range of group performance genres are welcome including choirs, kapahaka, ukulele, rock and concert bands, orchestras and dance groups. Duration will be dependent on the group’s age and experience and will be negotiated. Generally each primary school is allocated 15 to 30 minutes, and secondary schools 60 to 90 minutes. Schools may showcase several groups during these times.
Please feel free to contact Bob Bickerton to discuss any questions you may have about STAGE ONE at: [email protected]
